Bulwer beachfront retreat - Cottage #1 | House in Bulwer

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. They say there are only two times in Bulwer, day time and night time. You really will feel incredibly relaxed and at ease whilst you are here, and may find it difficult to leave.
Whether you are travelling by road or water, you are catered for here with ample flat parking plus a nearby mooring (boat parking) for your boat.
We have our own mooring (boat parking), in the bay which is available for guest use @ $18 per night. This is payable separately through Airbnb.
There is a double fishing kayak available for guest use. The paddles, lifejacket and seats are stored in the shed next to cottage #1. To help guests to easily get it to the beach there is also a kayak trolley stored in the shed. The kayak is stored against the fence close to cottage #2. The kayak is shared between both cottages.
Due to the remote location we rely on our guests to keep the cottage clean, tidy and ready for the next guests. This includes taking all rubbish away, vacuuming and making the beds with clean sheets from the laundry or unit at the end of the bed. Cleaning products and equipment are provided including vacuum cleaner and mop.
All used sheets and towels need to be placed in the washing machine and the wash and dry cycle started prior to check out. Just close the door and start the bedding or AI wash and dry cycle. The detergent will be added automatically. The laundry is located at the back of cottage #2.
The vacuum cleaner is located in the bedroom. We also request that no shoes are worn inside the cottage. These helps keep the place clean and hygienic. Our neighbours check the cottage after each booking. An extra cleaning fee plus long distance travel costs will be charged if the cottage is not left in an acceptable condition.
There is a rubbish dump in Rai Valley plus one in Havelock. Bulwer is a pristine location and we need to look after it.
There are two baches on the site that sit side by side. They share a laundry which is located at the rear of number 2 (the two bedroom bach). The hot water cylinder is shared between both cottages. Please be considerate of other guests and conserve water.
There are sheep freely roaming in the bay. Therefore it is not suitable for dogs but we do consider suitable dogs upon request, please see the rules specific to dogs below. The cottage is not suitable for infants and toddlers under 4.
Thanks very much in advance for you care, cooperation and respect for Bulwer. All of the land in the bay is privately owned, so it`s important to be considerate of others and have respect for the community.

The washing machine is available for guest use. please limit usage to two times per day for 2 guests or 3 times per day for 3 - 5 guests. Additional use will be charged at $9 per wash. The washing machine is shared between both cottages so it may be in use sometimes when there are guests in both cottages so please be considerate of other guests. Usage is monitored remotely.
We have a double fishing kayak available for guest use. The paddles, lifejacket and seats are stored in the shed next to cottage #1. The kayak is stored against the fence close to cottage #2. The kayak is shared between both cottages. Please rinse and hang out to dry the kayak equipment after each use and return to the shed. The kayak should also be returned after each use and rinsed with fresh water. There is a tap and hose next to the washing line outside cottage #2.
In general we do not allow pets but do accept suitable dogs upon request. Please read and and agree to the rules specific to guests who bring dogs prior to requesting to bring your dog:
A, Please keep dog out side always. You can keep your dog on the deck but please never let the dog inside the house.
B, Please keep dog on a lead always even on the deck. They are lots of sheep roaming freely in the bay and a pet pig. Sometimes the sheep jump over the fence and get onto the deck. We definitely want to avoid any problems with dogs.
c, Please do not use the washing machine for any pet item.
D, Please don`t forget to clean up after your dog.
E, Please understand that accepting pets is an exception for us. we basiclly do not accept pets in consideration of other guests and the community.
F, Noisy or aggressive dog can not stay here. Please do not make the neighbors uncomfortable.
We monitor your dog and if there is a breach of this agreement, or your dog damaged any properties including animals, We will ask you to leave Immediately and we may charge you extra fee such as extra cleaning fee or vet treatment or replacement animal fee.
